Ed Sheeran’s new music video was released last night (9th November) and features former Home And Away actress Isabel Lucas portraying a darker version of cupid.

The ‘You Need Me, I Don’t Need You’ star released the promo to his fans via Twitter and was overwhelmed with the immediate response to the video.

“Loving the feedback on the video! Glad you all like the gritty Cupid vibes. Big love to @emilnava for his amazing direction and vision,” he tweeted.

He also decalred that the video would be the final release from his debut album ‘+’.

He wrote: “This is the final video and single from my album, it’s been an awesome journey so far #givemelovevideo .”

Isabel, who stared in the hit Australian soap, has also appeared in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and Daybreakers.

Meanwhile, Ed is currently in the middle of his new UK tour and revealed how upset he was this week after breaking one of his new guitars.

He will also be heading out on the road with Taylor Swift in 2013 on her ‘Red’ North American tour.

Speaking to Insider, Angus Stone explains his new album, Broken Brights (to be released in June), has been a long time in the making and he drew special inspiration from his girlfriend, actress Isabel Lucas.

“I’ve always been collecting songs and have written along the way for something like this,” Stone, 25, says of stepping out from his older sister Julia.

“We’ve both gone down different roads now and we’re exploring this side of music.”

For Stone, originally from Newport on Sydney’s northern beaches, Broken Brights is an album inspired by Lucas – a relationship that blossomed after they travelled through Redwood National Park in the US.

“She has really shined a light on a whole new part of me,” Stone says. “That (trip) presents the whole inspiration for the album. Swimming in the rivers, being amongst all that amazing power from the trees, falling in love and having it all just unfold.

“We spent our time getting to know each other for the first time at that place.”

Lucas, the 27-year-old Hollywood starlet who found her feet on Home and Away, has become more than just Stone’s creative spark behind the music. The pair also filmed the video for Broken Bright’s second single, Bird On The Buffalo (out last Friday).

One listen to the single’s spirited lyrics and it’s clear nature plays a strong part in Stone’s music ingenuity.

“There’s a lot of raw, wild energy,” he says. “Some of those places we shot were so untouched. It’s all about escaping into another world and finding yourself there.”

Now, with Lucas, a fresh band and his second solo album ready for release, Stone says it’s everything that he needed: change. “You do something for so long and you start to look for a bit of change and I’m coming to learn that a change of work is the best kind of rest,” says Stone.

“We (Julia and I) came off the road and tipped our hats.

I kind of left the guitars to get dusty so I could be inspired when I came back to do something fresh, and that fresh thing was going solo.”

But after sweeping the ARIA’s in 2010 and selling close to a million records since their debut EP in 2005, could the duo really have closed the door on Angus & Julia Stone? “I don’t think it’s done and dusted,” Stone hints. “We’re family. We can’t avoid each other for that long.”

Australian actress Isabel Lucas has been chosen by the Proenza Schouler designers as their date for the upcoming Costume Institute Ball.

The annual event, also named the Met Ball, is known as the Oscars of the East Coast and celebrates the annual opening of New York’s Metropolitan Museum’s fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute.

Proenza Schouler’s founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez took Kristen Stewart to last year’s ball and have selected the former Home and Away star to wear their womenswear to this year’s gala, according to New York Magazine.

On the big screens Lucas, 27, is best known for her roles in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Daybreakers.

Designer Joseph Altuzarra has revealed Lana Del Rey as the celebrity to promote his label at the ball.

The event is one of the top annual social events in New York since it started running in 1948.
Jack and Lazaro are currently working on a New York store which will be on Madison Avenue. They are looking forward to their fans visiting the shop as they plan to make it a true extension of themselves.

I just kind of go, ‘Oh today I feel like this with all the online bingo rules,’ but I know I’m more comfortable when dressed down – I won’t wear high heels unless I’m obliged to.”

On moving back home to Australia: “I do enjoy L.A. when I’m there, but it always felt very transitional for me and I really was there for work. Plus my boyfriend [musician Angus Stone] lives in Australia, so there are a lot of ties. But I’ll be flying back to L.A. constantly.”

What’s with Hollywood stars making good music? (And no, Gwyneth, I’m not talking about you.) Former child actor Lukas Haas (who was in Witness with Harrison Ford almost 20 years ago and most recently seen in Inception) has a new project called Lukas/Lucas with Aussie actor Isabel Lucas.

As far as we can tell, it’s not a real band (yet), but Haas plays drums and piano for a band called the Rogues (though we can’t find any evidence of it online). Watch the video of their first song, “Made for You,” after the jump.
The Lucas/Lukas video clips were filmed and recorded in Haas’ studio in LA and directed by Carleton Ranney.

Actress Isabel Lucas has been voted to be Australia’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity for PETA in 2010.

Lucas went on a vegetarian diet after watching a documentary, Earthlings, at Anthony Kiedis’s home, the singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

After watching the documentary, she was immediately transformed into a vegan and says that she doesn’t feel limited by her new vegetarian diet.

“I eat lots of veggies and pasta and nuts, tofu and soups,” said Melbourne born Lucas.

“It works well for my body, and I also feel more in tune,” she added.

The PETA poll had put Lucas ahead of model and actress Imogen Bailey, TV and radio personality Ruby Rose, singer-songwriter Missy Higgins, model Myf Shepherd, Australian Idol host Andrew G, surfing sensation Dave Rastovich and folk singer Xavier Rudd.
